Mike Miller signed a contract with the Denver Nuggets Wednesday, per the Denver Post‘s Christopher Dempsey.
The one-year deal, for an undisclosed amount, will be the veteran small forward’s 16th NBA season.
Miller originally flew to Denver on Monday and was offered a contract soon after arriving. Yet, the veteran had visited Denver previously, including last offseason before he eventually signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 35-year-old sharpshooter won’t likely play many minutes, but will offer his experience to help teach younger players like Emmanuel Mudiay to improve their shooting, while also providing a great locker-room presence.
This is especially important as the team tries to move on after trading point guard Ty Lawson.
Mike Miller has seemed to gravitate toward winning teams in the past several seasons. He won two NBA titles with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013 and also played for the aforementioned Cavaliers, who lost in the NBA Finals last season.
The Nuggets definitely hope he can bring a winning mindset to Denver.
